10. Understanding Clairvia Web Reports

Most Clairvia Web reports require Adobe Acrobat Reader. You should install Acrobat Reader version 7.0 or later on the workstation you use to run reports. Acrobat Reader has many features that allow you to modify and annotate the reports Staff Manager generates. Refer to Acrobat Reader Help for more information.

You can run reports to view information about selected profiles, tasks, and employees. Clairvia Web saves the options you select for each report by your user login once you click Run Report. You can also use filters to tailor report selections.

Custom Reports

To open a custom report, from the Reports menu, select Custom.

During the installation of Clairvia Web, a Custom report folder is created. You are able to open and run reports through Clairvia Web by storing them in the Custom folder. This includes reports created through other applications (Excel spreadsheets, PDF, and text files), provided the appropriate application or viewer to run each report is available on your computer. Double-clicking on a report opens the file if the necessary application is on your computer.

This feature only supports static reports (that is, those that do not pull dynamically from the Staff Manager database). Suggested uses are staffing policies and procedures, special lists generated from Human Resources, and so on.

Reports in Staff Manager Client

There are many more reports that are only available in the Staff Manager Client application. If you cannot find the report you want in Clairvia Web, you should refer to the Report menu in Staff Manager Client.
