Understanding the External Resource Management Interface

Note: Your Staff Manager installation may not be configured for using this interface. Contact your Clinical Consultant or Cerner Corporation Client Services for more information about obtaining the External Resource Management (ERM) interface.

Your External Resource Management interface, integrated within Clairvia Web, delivers an integrated nurse scheduling and temporary nurse staffing solution. This solution enables organizations to manage their nurse scheduling and contract nursing needs from one central location, improving and automating organization business processes while eliminating work overlap and disorganized communication.

The ERM interface has the following prerequisites.

• General
  • Firewalls on both server networks must be configured to pass HTTPS connections (in-bound and out-bound) on port numbers.
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) must be running on the application server.
• Staff Manager-specific
  • Global Skills must be defined.
  • Posting Groups must exist that define what profile or profiles are associated with ERM.
  • Posting strategies for participating profiles must be defined through Opportunity Configuration.
  • Event Manager must be installed on the application server.
