Tracking Requests
Important: Approved requests are not displayed in schedule views until a scheduler generates a schedule using the Approved Requests option in Schedule Editor.
After you have made and saved requests, the My Requests page refreshes to show your new requests in the Schedule Grid and the My Requests pane. A request's status is indicated by its background color and its code letters.
- If your request needs a manager's approval, your request has a dark blue background and the code (P) for Pending. Once a manager processes your pending requests, the background color changes, and the request receives a new code to indicate its status.
- If the manager approves your request, the background turns dark green and displays the code (A) for Approved.
- If the manager denies your request, the background turns dark red and displays the code (D) for Denied.
- If your organization uses the optional Request Limits feature with Wait List, your manager can put your request on the Wait List. If so, the background of your request turns orange and displays the code (W) for Wait Listed.
- If your organization uses the optional Request Limits feature with Auto Approve, your request may be approved automatically. If this is the case, your request displays a dark green background and the code (A) for Approved, just as it would if a manager approved your request manually.
- If your organization uses the optional Request Limits feature with Wait List and your request could not be approved due to a request limit, your request may be automatically wait listed. If so, it appears in white text on an orange background marked with the code (W) for Wait Listed, and a message window opens to tell you what request limit or limits caused your request to be wait listed.
See Understanding How Requests Are Displayed for more information about request status and how it is coded.
If a manager added a note to you while processing your request, the request displays a yellow note icon within the request cell in the Weekly View. You can read the note by positioning your pointer over the icon or by selecting the request, which displays the note in the Request Details pane at the bottom of the Requests Sidebar.
If you do not see the schedule or request data you expect on the My Requests page, you should make sure that an active filter is not affecting the current view.
To track a request, you can:
- Review the My Requests section of the Employee Dashboard. You can click a link to go to that request on the My Requests page. The request is selected and its details displayed in the Request Details pane automatically.
- Open the My Requests page. From the Schedule menu, select My Requests. If needed, use the Date Navigation Bar to move to the request's date and the Profile menu to select the relevant profile. Select the request in the My Requests pane or the Schedule Grid and the information displays in the Request Details pane.
