Viewing Patient Patterns
Note: Your Staff Manager configuration may not include this optional application. To add this application to your configuration, contact your Clinical Consultant or Client Advocate.
Complete the following steps to view patient patterns:
- From the Demand menu, select Patient Pattern Management. The Patient Pattern Management page opens.
- Select a date from the Calendar. The Calendar sets the page’s three day view: the day you select and the days before and after. The default is the current date.
- Select one or more Profiles using the check boxes in the left pane.
- The profiles you see are restricted to those that you have security access to and use a Registration import interface.
- When you select a Profile, the application also selects all Locations for that profile by default. To omit a Location, deselect its check box.
- To select or clear all profile check boxes, click a link under Select/Clear All.
- Select to Show Alerts by Expected or Library pattern. If you select to show alerts by Library pattern, the Show Historical Alerts option becomes available.
- Select whether to see Acuity Levels.
- Select a Patient option from the Filters list.
- Show Current is the default when the current date is in use. This displays all patterns for patients without an ADT departure event as of the current time.
- Show All displays all patterns for patients in any of the selected profiles or locations at any time within the selected three day view.
- If you want, you can select a LOS filter. You can select to filter the number of patients shown to those who are Approaching, Meeting, or Exceeding their Level of Care LOS and those who are Approaching, Meeting, or Exceeding their Total LOS for their current location.
- Click Go.
When you first visit this page, the application automatically selects all the profiles and locations linked to your security access. The patient patterns do not display, however, until you click Go.
See Understanding Patient Pattern Alerts for more information on how the Display Options and Filters work with patient pattern alerts.
In facilities using both Demand Manager and Outcomes-Driven Acuity, you can see current acuity levels on the Patient Pattern Management page. See Patient Pattern Management with Acuity Levels for more information.
Note: User Profile and Location selections persist from page to page in Demand Manager. Once you change the selected profile or location, the page displays the message: Selections have changed. Please press the Go button to refresh the screen.
